Class Teacher job summary
Are you an outstanding teacher looking for your next role? Are you seeking a small, values driven school where you will be cherished, nurtured but able to make a real difference to a whole school community? Are you passionate about leading subject development and want to be able to drive a whole school vision which has a notable impact?
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, flexible and inspirational teacher to join our friendly team in Key Stage 1 or 2. We are a growing village, Church of England school serving a small community. We have recently transitioned from a lower school to a primary as part of Central Bedfordshire's Schools for the Future programme and we had a 'Good in all areas' Ofsted inspection in May 2024. Our school is a wonderful place to work, where everyone is valued and developed – with the benefits of a small school community but a larger family of schools in the Trust to learn and grow with. We have a commitment to a broad curriculum, so value our work in all areas of learning, particularly our established Forest school.
We are looking for a class teacher who is passionate about high expectations and making a difference to every child, works well as part of a supportive, professional team and is aligned with our strong and caring Christian ethos.
The position starts from the start of the summer term, 2025.
We can offer:
Well behaved and hardworking children who are committed to their learning
Supportive leadership, staff, parents, Trust and governors
Opportunities for professional development within the school and across our Trust
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and actively encouraged. Please telephone the office on 01767 316206 or email: s.young@caldecoteceacademy.co.uk to make an appointment to meet the Headteacher, who will be pleased to show you around.
We reserve the right to interview and appoint earlier than the closing date for the right candidate.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and this post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
