Class Teacher job summary
We have a vacancy from early in 2020 (January or February) due to a member of staff going on maternity leave. This is a fixed term position ending 31/08/2020.
Castle Primary School is an inclusive and welcoming school, situated near Keynsham town centre.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible teacher, who is passionate about ensuring all children get the education and support they need to thrive at primary school.
A commitment to learning both within and outside of the classroom (including extra-curricular opportunities) is essential, as is the ability to ‘live’ our school values. A strength in Maths and/or in meeting the needs of children with a wide-range of needs would be an advantage. For this temporary position, the successful candidate will teach in one of four parallel Y3/4 classes.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives and futures. A chance to join a committed team, on an improvement journey, to offer the education all our children deserve to ensure they reach their potential.
We are likely to be advertising permanent positions for the school year 20/21 as we continue to expand to two-form entry.
Training opportunities and a mentoring / induction programme will be available.
This post would ideally suit an experienced teacher; however, NQTs, who fully meet the person specification) are welcome to apply.
The selection process will include an observation.
