Saint Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust, are looking for a talented and inspirational teacher who will be become part of our warm and friendly team.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner to join our teaching team in delivering a high quality education and enjoyment in learning for our children. We are looking for an excellent teacher with experience in raising standards- this is a great opportunity to join a team with strong development and leadership opportunities. We have polite, hard-working, well behaved children, a committed and supportive staff who work well as a team, and parents who care deeply. Our governors are passionate about education and fully engaged in our drive for excellence.

Saint Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy is a small, friendly, fully inclusive school, catering for pupils between the ages of 4-11 years. At Saint Mary’s we provide a primary education within a Catholic setting for the children of Saint Mary Crowned Parish, Glossop and children from our local surrounding community.

You will be responsible for:

  • Teaching a class, including planning, recording, assessing and meeting the social and learning needs of pupils
  • Maintaining the positive Catholic ethos and core values of the school
  • Fulfilling the professional responsibilities of a teacher and meeting the expectations set out in the Teachers’ Standards
