We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Class Teacher to join Woodlands Academy, where you will have the opportunity to deliver a broad and engaging primary curriculum and make a lasting impact on pupils’ learning and development.

You will inspire curiosity, foster a love of learning and support pupils to grow both academically and personally as they progress through their primary years.

About you:

You will be:

  • a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • able to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote progress and inspire a love of learning across subjects.
  • committed to meeting the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND, disadvantaged pupils, looked after children and those with high attainment.
  • skilled in creating a positive, well-managed classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • confident in using assessment effectively to monitor progress, inform teaching and support pupil outcomes.
  • a strong communicator who can build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers.
  • dedicated to promoting equality, inclusion and the wellbeing of all pupils.
  • proactive in contributing to the wider life of the school and enriching pupils’ experiences beyond the classroom.
  • committed to your own professional development and reflective practice, while supporting and collaborating with colleagues.
  • highly competent in the Teachers’ Standards, with the ability to make a sustained and positive contribution (particularly for Upper Pay Scale applicants).

Woodlands Academy is a single-form entry primary school, with a nursery provision situated in Stockwood, Bristol. Our school is hidden off the main road, but has amazing school grounds with extensive field space, a forest area, a garden and three ponds.

At Woodlands, children are at the centre of everything we do. We aim to offer our pupils an education which supports and challenges every child to reach their full potential.
