What skills and experience we're looking for

To provide excellent teaching and learning resulting in good progress and achievement for all pupils

Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils

Have a full-time teaching commitment that promotes good progress and outcomes by all pupils

Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge

Plan and teach well-structured lessons

Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of a diverse range of pupils’ needs •

To provide quality feedback to pupils

Make accurate and productive use of assessment

Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment

Plan effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs including working with teaching assistants

In liaison with the SENDCO, implement, monitor and review effective provision

Take appropriate account of ethnic and cultural diversity to enrich the curriculum, secure pupils’ engagement and raise achievement

Fulfil wider professional responsibilities to make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school

Organise and maintain a stimulating and purposeful working environment

To work within the framework of national legislation and in accordance with the provisions of the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document. In addition, the post is subject to compliance with:

Attend and lead collective worship as required
