Fierté Multi-Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a reflective, creative and enthusiastic teacher to join the dedicated team at Anker Valley Primary Academy. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive and collaborative staff who are deeply committed to providing the highest quality education for our children. The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.

The successful candidate will demonstrate: 

  • Secure understanding of the National Curriculum, particularly in Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2
  • An understanding of early reading and phonics.
  • An awareness of the requirements of the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check
  • A clear understanding of early learning and the transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1, including the value of play, continuous provision and active learning
  • The ability to plan and deliver well-structured lessons that support progression and maintain high levels of engagement
  • Developing confidence in assessment for learning, using this to inform next steps and adapt teaching
  • An understanding of how to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • The ability to contribute to a language-rich classroom environment, supporting early communication, vocabulary and oracy.
  • Skills in creating a positive, well-managed and nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence and resilience
  • A commitment to delivering a broad, balanced and creative curriculum
