An exciting opportunity has arisen for a teacher with experience of working with children with SEND to take on the position of class teacher for our enhanced specialist provision (Acorns). The pupils attending Acorns have an ASD profile along with cognition and learning needs and communication and interaction difficulties. We are immensely proud of this provision and the progress that the children make within it.
As class teacher in Acorns (Enhanced Specialist Provision class), you will plan the learning for the provision and directly teach the children every morning with PPA in excess of the statutory 10%. You will work with a small team of support staff to meet the individual needs of the pupils, delivering learning aligned with both formal and pre-formal pathways.
Working alongside the SENCO, you will continue to develop the provision, curriculum and inclusive assessment methodologies.
