- has secure knowledge of the national curriculum – and are aspirational
- has the ability to plan fun, engaging lessons for a range of needs, levels and interests
- has emotional intelligence, is patient and kind
- has excellent communication skills
- can manage behaviour positively and consistently
- can confidently lead and manage a class team.
- can support and inspire teaching colleagues as part of their subject leadership role.

Our school:
Beormund Primary is a outstanding specialist provision supporting children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Children often arrive disillusioned, disengaged and with a dissociation to school and learning and so are met each day with warmth, kindness, clear boundaries and high expectations. Our aim is to nurture their curiosity, improve their self-confidence so that they feel safe and secure to take risks, make mistakes and continually learn. Our aim is for all children to make significant progress relative to their starting point – academically, emotionally and socially.
We are a school filled with bright, articulate and talented children who all have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). Our children have a plethora of needs, many have Adverse Childhood Experiences which shapes the way they see and respond to the world.
