Class Teacher
Are you eager to become part of an inclusive community, with shared goals, high support, love and understanding?
Are you a driven, knowledgeable and passionate Teacher looking for a new challenge?
Then our school may be the perfect fit for you!
Newborough CofE Primary School is a welcoming, single-form entry school that has recently joined the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET). This partnership has opened exciting opportunities for staff development and career progression through research-informed practice and extensive CPD programs.
As a school, we strive for every child within our care to reach their full potential, both spiritually and intellectually, through providing an environment which is loving, safe, and nurturing and a curriculum which is holistic, meaningful and engaging: the children being central to all that we do. Our school has been an integral part of the village community for over a hundred years, and we aim to continue to build upon these effective relationships both with the families we serve and the wider community so that we can work together for the benefit of the children within our care.
The school prides itself on its inclusive nurturing approach and strives to ensure that all pupils thrive and have a brilliant start to their education! Standards are high at Newborough where children are keen to learn but welfare and nurture is paramount in allowing this to happen. Visitors comment on the school’s ethos of nurture and the ‘family feel’ of the school. Our children tell us that this is a fantastic place to be!
We are proud for our school and community and all work together to provide the best foundations for our pupils. We are therefore excited to welcome a new teacher to our committed team in September 2026.
We are looking for someone who is:
- An excellent teacher who has received ‘good’ or better grades in recent observations
- An outstanding, passionate teacher who has high expectations for children’s learning, and can foster collaborative working and living our values every day
- A person who builds excellent relationships with children and parents; demonstrating our values when interacting with them
- Is up to date with current research around Quality First Teaching
- Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn to the best of their ability and reach their potential,
- Has the ability to develop effective relationships with pupils, parents and external agencies in order to support pupils’ smooth transition into school
- Able to create a stimulating and inviting learning environment adapted to suit the needs of the pupils,
- Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school
In return, we can offer you:
- A welcoming and caring school, that encourages everyone to give their best at all times, that aims to contribute all they can to our life as a school community
- A collaborative and supportive school community that is underpinned by the Christian ethos, driven by a shared passion of children’s welfare and education
- A rewarding and exciting working environment, that inspires and challenges within a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Access to a vast array of employee benefits and recognition systems, via our brand-new partnership with Vivup

PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust.
