Class Teacher (Fixed term Maternity cover) job summary
We are looking to appoint an inspirational, ambitious and talented Class Teacher to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team. The role of the Class Teacher is central to the success of Scientia Academy and is a position which has a direct impact on the outstanding learning opportunities provided to the pupils. The role is offered on a fixed term basis to cover Maternity leave from September 2026.
Class Teachers are responsible for the day-to-day teaching and learning provision for all children in their class, including those with Special Educational Needs, English as an Additional Language, those more-able learners and those eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant. You will receive coaching and mentoring from experienced leaders in the academy to ensure that you are supported in all aspects of what you do.
Therefore, we welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as those Early Careers Teachers (ECTs).

Scientia Academy is a purpose built primary school for children aged 3 to 11 years old. The school opened in 2013 and has continued to grow year on year.
We are now a popular, over-subscribed school, with a thriving nursery which offers 30 hour provision for working parents. We offer Wrap Around Care with a busy Breakfast and Afterschool Club.
The aim of Scientia Academy is to raise standards of achievement by providing a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which children are enabled to become independent, responsible and enthusiastic learners.
