Class Teacher job summary

We are looking for a dynamic, creative and enthusiastic class teacher to be responsible for a class of 30 children. Working alongside the two teachers in your year group and in partnership with a dedicated, skilled team of support staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that the curriculum is ambitious, engaging and inspires our children. You will help our well behaved children make excellent progress and strive for high outcomes and standards. We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers.

What we require:

  • UK Qualified Teacher status (QTS).
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities.
  • Passionate about learning, teaching and assessment.
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a variety of audiences including pupils, staff, colleagues and parents.
  • Effective behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to create a positive, supportive and effective learning environment.
