Wood Farm Primary School is a vibrant and thriving school on the outskirts of the city. We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident teacher who has high expectations for themselves and for children and who is passionate about learning. Already judged ‘good’ by Ofsted, this is your chance to join a team where everyone strives to be the best they can be. We have two Reception classes, with an extensive shared garden, and the successful applicant will be working alongside an established colleague in a wider team of nursery nurse, teachers, and teaching assistants. Serving a diverse school community, with over 400 pupils in total who come from a wide range of backgrounds, working at Wood Farm School is a genuine opportunity to make a lasting difference to children’s lives.
You will either be a newly qualified teacher with successful teaching experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage and looking to specialize in this age group, or you might be a more established teacher with a strong track record in Reception. Either way you will be an energetic and inspiring teacher, and an excellent team player. Commitment to safeguarding
Ensuring that children are safe and well cared for is our highest priority. We work with parents and other agencies, including our Local Authority, to make sure that children are kept safe, both in school and beyond.
Staff members with designated lead responsibility undertake regular specialist training in safeguarding and child protection.
All members of staff and regular volunteers receive training in child protection, and we undertake comprehensive background checks on all adults working in the school.
