CLASS TEACHER (5 mornings & 3 afternoons) fixed term until April 2022
Teachers Main Payscale
Fowey Primary School, a happy and supportive school, in the beautiful town of Fowey is seeking a class teacher to work primarily with Year 5. Each morning you will teach a group of 20 Year 5 pupils, focussing on the core skills of reading, writing and mathematics. In the afternoons, this smaller Year 5 group will join Year 6 to form a larger class. We are looking for someone to teach Year 5 every morning and then three afternoons each week in Year Five/Six. We have a very strong team at Fowey and would welcome applications from new as well as experienced teachers. We are ideally looking for a September start but would be able to delay until October half term for the right person. We are looking for teachers who are:
Confident and creative classroom practitioners.
Fully committed to meeting the needs of all pupils.
Able to inspire and challenge pupils. Motivate others by example.
Positive in their attitude and willing to make a significant contribution to raising standards across the school.
Committed to working with all members of the school community, particularly with parents.
Eager to take a full and active part in all aspects of school life.
