Class Teacher job summary
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a great school, with a fantastic, supportive staff team. We currently have an opportunity for exceptional Class Teachers to join our team in Key Stage 2.
We are currently a two form entry school in EYFS and KS1, with three forms of entry in KS2 (reducing to 2 forms over the next four years). As part of the expansion of our school, the former St Albans Music School was converted into an impressive upper school building complete with a library, large PPA room, break out room, individual offices and most importantly spacious, fully equipped classrooms.
The rest of the school is very well organised including a large, separate EYFS area, which has its own outdoor provision. In addition, we have expansive and attractive outdoor facilities including four playgrounds, a large school field, an outdoor theatre and an environmental area. We have specialist support with music, drama, forest schools and PE / Sports.
Not only do we have a wonderful environment for learning but we also have a very experienced and supportive teaching team. CPD is very much at the heart of the school and professional development is integral to our continued school development.
There is the potential for this to be permanent, however because of the school reducing in size the contract may need to be fixed term for two years+ .
We would consider part-time working if suitable candidates were found that could fulfill the full-time position.
Our Multi Academy Trust: In joining Garden Fields School you will also be joining the Alban Academies Trust (AAT). The Trust is a close community of seven schools within Hertfordshire, three of which are Secondary schools and four are Primary schools. As part of the AAT we are able to maximise the opportunities for personal, professional and career development. To learn more about the Trust please visit https://albanacademiestrust.org.uk/.
Garden Fields is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
If all of this sounds exciting to you then why not make an application. If you would like to arrange an appointment to look around then please contact Mrs Dicks in our school office on 01727 890440 or by email on admin@gardenfields.aat.school.
We look forward to hearing from you.
