• has the potential to be or is an exceptional classroom practitioner

• has a sound understanding of the National Curriculum and its implementation

• demonstrates excellent teaching using a wide range of teaching methods to motivate

and inspire learners

• has the ability to work effectively and contribute positively within a team environment

• sets high expectations for the attitudes and behaviour of everyone

• is able to work well in partnership with staff, governors and parents

• is committed to their own professional development
