Keevil Church of England Academy is looking for a vibrant and inspiring Class Teacher to join its friendly team and support reception, year 1 and year 2 pupils in our Wildcat class, with effect from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT or an experienced teacher, who is passionate about helping every child to reach their full potential.

We are a welcoming and caring primary school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Situated in the picturesque village of Keevil, Wiltshire, we are proud to have strong links with our local community and St Leonard’s Church. Our staff are committed to ensuring that all children in our care grow and flourish, achieving both their academic and personal potential so they leave school as the best readers, mathematicians and writers they can be, combined with an understanding of health and fitness in body and mind. Rated ‘Good’ at our most recent Ofsted inspection, we are part of the Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to collaborate and improve local education.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is committed to becoming a truly excellent teacher;
  • Can teach a broad range of engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve student attainment;
  • Can plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure real learning takes place and students make superior progress;
  • Has good knowledge and awareness of current initiatives in the Primary Curriculum;
  • Is able to raise attainment and challenge students to achieve their best;
  • Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to our school and across the wider school community;
  • Is committed to the need to safeguard and nurture our pupils;
  • Has a positive, cheerful outlook with a good sense of humour;
  • Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff;
  • Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure;
  • Has a desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.

We can offer the successful candidate:

  • An ambitious and vibrant place to work, with enthusiastic children and staff who are passionate about learning;
  • A workplace where everyone feels valued and supported;
  • Opportunities for training and progression;
  • The support of Acorn Education Trust, with excellent opportunities to work with experienced colleagues;
  • A supportive and clearly defined induction procedure.
