Kempston Rural Primary School, nestled in the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a full-time position from September 2025, with shared planning responsibility across the year group.
Kempston Rural Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive two-form entry primary school with a pre-school, located in Kempston, Bedfordshire. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring children and fostering a love of learning. You should have excellent classroom practice, a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and be creative and innovative in your lesson planning and delivery. Experience and/or willingness in leading a subject are highly desirable; opportunities are available for subject leadership, in a supportive role. We provide in-school, additional release time to help you further develop excellence in our already established non-core subjects. We seek a teacher who is committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, consistently showcases high-quality first teaching, is flexible and adaptive in their teaching, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, are essential. Experience in a similar role, preferably in a primary school setting, is highly desirable. We are also looking for candidates with a passion for primary education, a desire to make a positive impact on children's lives, creativity and innovation in lesson planning and delivery, excellent behaviour management skills and experience in monitoring progress and planning effective support and interventions.
