Class Teacher job summary

From September 2022 Kingsley Special Academy, in Kettering, requires a class teacher to cover for maternity leave in one of our SEND classes. We would hope the successful candidate will contribute and further continue the success of the team motivating our exceptional pupils. We require enthusiasm and commitment to shine through whilst engaging with the pupils to aid them on their learning journey. Whoever we appoint will demonstrate polished and effective core teaching skills and be driven to acquire specialist expertise. As a calm and resourceful person you will appreciate the challenge of understanding the child’s unique presentation and maintain a secure and happy environment. The cover is initially required for one year but there may be an option of a further fixed-term post. Applications are welcome from either experienced Teachers or ECTs who want to begin their career in a learning-rich environment.

Please note that this role is subject to enhanced DBS clearance, medical clearance, 2 references and right to work in the UK. The successful candidates will be expected to adhere to the Safeguarding Policies of the school and Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation. All contracts issued are Trust contracts covering all schools within Kingsley Learning Foundation.

Kingsley Special Academy is a Community Special School in Kettering providing education, therapy, support and facilities for children aged four years to eleven years who have physical, medical, sensory, learning and communication difficulties.
