Class Teacher KS1 (Maternity Cover) job summary
The working hours for this role are expected to be 1.0 FTE in a Year 2 class. The start date for this role is expected to be mid-November 2026.
The Grove Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate Class Teacher to join their KS1 team. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious school community within EQUA Mead Learning Trust on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching that inspires, motivates, and challenges pupils to achieve their full potential, while creating a stimulating, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess and monitor pupil progress, and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND. Working closely with Teaching Assistants, parents, carers, and colleagues, you will play a key role in supporting positive outcomes and ensuring every child feels valued, safe, and supported. We are seeking a teacher with strong curriculum knowledge, high expectations for achievement and behaviour, and a commitment to raising standards through excellent teaching and learning. The successful candidate will contribute to the wider life of the school, uphold the Trust’s values, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
