What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Class teacher to come and join the staff team at Brackenbury. The position could be based across any key stage so we would welcome applicants who are interested in working across the primary age range. However it is most likely to be within Key Stage Two initially.

Brackenbury is a diverse and vibrant school that is fully reflective of the mixed community which it serves. We have been graded as good by Ofsted (December 2022) and wish to continue to enhance our fantastic teaching and learning.

Brackenbury is part of a Federation with Kenmont Primary and Wendell Park Primary Schools, both in LBHF. We share an Executive Head teacher and offer staff many opportunities to work with colleagues across our partnership of school and share best practice and undertake joint professional development.

We are seeking to appoint someone who….

  • Has relevant experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 and or Key Stage 2
  • Is an inclusive and inspiring teacher with a strong record of improving rates of progress
  • Is ambitious and energetic and can ensure high quality provision
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and qualities that motivate children
  • Is a committed, adaptable team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Will be accountable for raising standards and securing high quality provision within their class.

On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I would like to thank you for your interest in Brackenbury Primary School. Brackenbury Primary School is a large, vibrant, welcoming school in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The building is situated on a large site and dates back to 1879. Every classroom is provided with up-to-date resources and the latest technology including interactive computerised white boards. Among our facilities are a full computer suite, art room, music room, flexible hall for music, drama and parent activities, large hall for performances and PE, and ‘The Shed’ which is a large performance space. Excellent staff, office and reception facilities add to the superb environment which enhances teaching and learning for every adult and child who has the opportunity to become part of the Brackenbury Primary School community.
