This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a small village primary school within a very supportive community. This small-scale approach gives our children a real opportunity to thrive. We are seeking a committed teacher, with a passion for a child-centred curriculum, to continue this approach and develop our provision further in our mixed age class.
Hopton C of E Primary Academy is an inclusive, rural school on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk. We are very welcoming and friendly, with excellent relationships with our parents and wider community. Our school is in an exciting phase as we have joined the Elveden Schools Trust this year. We have forest schools and OPAL play in place which is an exciting offer for our school community.
We are seeking to appoint a part-time, class teacher for a KS2 class. There will also be the opportunity to lead curriculum subjects and this will depend on the successful candidates’ particular areas of expertise, as well as the needs of the school. Experience of teaching a mixed KS2 class is desirable, as is a good knowledge of the curriculum.
All staff at the school benefit from an employee assistance programme, as well as open opportunities to contribute to the school development, high-quality CPD and opportunities for career progression.
Please visit our website for more information and to get a real feel for our school. We also recommend arranging an informal visit to come and meet the children and our team. Please telephone the school office to make an appointment.
