Class Teacher KS2 job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a talented, passionate and ambitious professional to join our friendly team here at Thomas Eaton Primary Academy. We are looking for an experienced Year 5/6 teacher to join our teaching team from September 2026. In addition to having excellent subject knowledge and a willingness to learn, candidates will need to demonstrate that they have high expectations and will place the children’s learning and well being at the heart of their practice and every decision made. Our school benefits from a strong community ethos and although small in size we are mighty in spirit.
You will have responsibility for leading and managing a rich educational experience for your class, creating a welcoming, inclusive and calm environment for all.
Desirable applicants should:
- be an excellent classroom practitioner
- have an uncompromising passion and enthusiasm for teaching and learning
- have high expectations of behaviour and achievement
- have a sound knowledge and understanding of Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum expectations
- have a commitment to teamwork and collaboration
- have the ability and determination to inspire and motivate children to achieve their potential
- use initiative and drive to maximise pupil outcomes including those with SEND
- demonstrate strong communication skills (oral and written)
- be able to create an orderly and organised classroom environment
