An exciting opportunity has arisen for a secondary class teacher to join Hallmoor School.
Hallmoor School is an inclusive, forward-thinking and popular specialist school for pupils aged 5 to 19 years with a range of diagnosis including Severe Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs. The number on roll has increased to almost 300 children in recent years with further growth expected. The school has been through significant improvement in recent years, having achieved ‘Good’ in Ofsted.
The Class Teacher will actively support school activities including attending educational trips, extra-curricular activities and parents’ evenings.
The role is temporary to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will:

Be eager to develop excellent teaching practice and create a learning environment where all pupils can achieve their best.
Be committed to making learning experiences memorable and fun.
Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and work effectively as part of a team.
Be organised, professional and proficient, with great IT skills.
Use a range of inclusive teaching strategies, visual supports, and positive behaviour approaches.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with EHCP targets
Work with the DSL and their deputies to ensure safeguarding is promoted.
Hold a QTS qualification
