Leamington Primary and Nursery Academy is looking to appoint a Class Teacher on a maternity leave contract to provide high-quality, supportive, and engaging teaching for the pupils in our school. About the Role:

As a Class Teacher at Leamington Primary and Nursery Academy, you will provide high-quality, supportive, and engaging teaching to our pupils. You will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of our children, creating a stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. You will work closely with a dedicated team of colleagues who are all committed to making a positive impact and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all children in the class
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning
  • Assess and track progress, providing feedback to support their ongoing development
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, inclusion, and positive behaviour management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices for teaching and learning

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Delights in being with children and puts their well-being first
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has strong behaviour management strategies and a calm, consistent approach to classroom routines
  • Has the ability to make learning fun, engaging, and challenging for all learners
  • Brings fresh ideas and is eager to share and collaborate with colleagues
  • Values every member of the school community and contributes positively to a team culture
  • Is reflective, professional, and always ready to go the extra mile — with a smile!
