Class Teacher (lower KS2) job summary
Due to the resignation of one of our teaching team, we have a fixed-term vacancy from 1 January 2022 until 31 August 2022. As we grow towards a 14-class school, there are likely to be further vacancies available in Spring 2022 for the academic year 22/23 and beyond.
Castle Primary School is a vibrant and welcoming school, situated in Keynsham, between Bath & Bristol. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher, who would relish the challenge of teaching in a mixed Year 3 and Year 4 class with children with a variety of needs (alongside two parallel classes). A commitment to learning both within and outside of the classroom (including extra-curricular opportunities) is essential, as is the ability to fully support our school values and vision.
We are seeking teachers who are calm, consistent and committed, whilst our children thrive with adults who are friendly, firm and fair. A strength in either computing and / or playing an instrument in assemblies, would be an advantageous to the school’s continued improvement journey.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives and futures. A chance to join a committed team, on an improvement journey, to offer the education all our children deserve to ensure they reach their potential. In return, we offer the support and encouragement of a committed team, access to high quality CPD and children who make you smile every day. We have invested substantial funds in resources to improve teaching and learning alongside managing teacher workload and a site that is continually improving in support of the curriculum we are currently developing.
Unfortunately, this vacancy is not suitable for an ECT/NQT.
