You will be supported in the classroom by a Senior Teaching Assistant and a team of Teaching Assistants, as well as by an experienced and highly supportive Senior Leadership Team with a strong understanding of both the rewards and challenges of teaching in a special school environment.
Working closely with parents, therapists, specialist teachers and other professionals, you will play a key role in meeting pupils’ individual needs and helping them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will also take responsibility for a curriculum area (unless you are an ECT), which will be agreed upon at appointment and tailored to your strengths and interests.
