Pay Range: Teachers Main Scale (M1-M6)

Actual Salary from: £10,285.60 - £14,784.40 - (40% FTE)

The Role

We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our experienced team of teachers at Alton Park Junior School.

  • This post is 40% FTE (2 days per week) to cover maternity leave.
  • This role is a Year 4 job share.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons.
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils.
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment.
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities.
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.

We're looking for you if you have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status in the UK.
  • Successful teaching experience within the primary sector.
  • A thorough knowledge of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and how to use them effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment.
