Class Teacher - Maternity Cover job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring Class Teacher to join the team at Bourton Meadow Academy on maternity cover.
This is a part-time position for 2 days per week, working as part of a supportive and collaborative year group team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching and learning, creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
You will:
Plan and deliver engaging, creative and appropriately challenging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where children feel supported, valued and encouraged to succeed.
Monitor, assess and record pupils’ progress and attainment, using this information to support and challenge their learning.
Set high expectations for learning, behaviour and relationships, promoting a positive classroom culture.
Work closely with colleagues, support staff and external professionals to ensure the needs of all pupils are met.
Communicate positively with parents and carers and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Contribute to the development of the curriculum and support the school’s vision, values and ethos.
Take an active role in safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils.
