This is a post that will suit both an Early Career or Experienced teacher looking for a new challenge and environment to work in.

Our school and Trust offer a robust and supportive ECT development program and CPD for all.

Although this is a maternity post there is the possibility of remaining within out thriving and very successful Mosaic Schools Learning Trust which includes 10 schools.

Our School is all about children and community. We are a school that prioritises developing the 'whole child' that is ready to take on learning and life challenges.

We use the language of our Character Virtues across each day, as these are fundamental skills for our children to have success at every phase of their school journey here and into secondary school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Put the children at the heart of every decision
  • Be organised and able to prioritise tasks
  • Have good time management
  • Show a willingness to listen and take on advice and ask for support - learning never stops!
  • Be able to establish clear classroom routines which are maintained
  • Establish a classroom where mistakes are celebrated just as much as the achievements
  • Foster relationships and must get to know each child individually - their passions, interests etc.
  • Be willing to take managed risks to help inspire children to learn
  • Think outside the box
  • Be flexible and accept that sometimes you have to adapt quickly
  • Always be looking at ways to engage learners and not become stagnant
  • Not be doing something ‘special’ for a visitor or a learning walk but making those ‘special’ moments a daily occurrence
  • Accept that not every lesson is going to go the way you wanted but realising that every lesson is a new opportunity to ignite a passion or unlock a talent
  • Take as many opportunities to shadow others to learn from them.

If this sounds like you then we very much welcome your visit to the school and your application.

The visit dates are: Monday 9th February 2.15pm - 3pm / Wednesday 11th February 2.15pm - 3pm and 4pm - 4.45pm. Please call the school office on 0208 460 5668 or email admin@raglan.sch.uk
