What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an innovative, creative and enthusiastic teacher to join the Yew Tree family to cover a maternity leave. We are a friendly three-form entry primary school with a nursery class. We are looking for a committed teacher, capable of providing high quality teaching, to join a supportive team of staff who passionately believe in providing the best education for our children.

We are looking for experienced teacher (MPS or UPS) in order to complement our teaching team. This post would initially be teaching a Y5 class (until July) but we are open to discussions about the deployment of the successful candidate from September 2026. The successful candidate would cover a maternity leave expected to last from April 2026 until April 2027.

The school provides a high quality of education for its children and has many exemplary aspects of provision. We want to ensure we recruit a candidate who will support us in our drive to be the best school around. Unfortunately, on this occasion, we are not looking for an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
