What skills and experience we're looking for

The children, staff, and Governors are looking for an excellent teacher to join our nurturing team. This is a unique opportunity for a strong practitioner to step into a subject leadership role while covering a maternity leave for one year, starting September 2026.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead phonics provision across our school (Read Write Inc), support and coach staff, monitor teaching and learning, analyse data and ensure strong outcomes for all pupils, contributing to the wider development of literacy and school improvement.

As a strong phonics practitioner you will either already be an experienced subject leader or an aspiring one ready to develop your leadership skills within our supportive environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has strong phonics knowledge
  • is an enthusiastic practitioner who has the ability to inspire and provide the best learning opportunities for children.
  • is committed to meeting all the teacher standards.
  • is committed to providing excitement and inspiration in the classroom.
