About the EYFS KS1 Teacher Role

We are looking for a full-time EYFS or KS1 Teacher to join our vibrant school community.

We are a two-form entry school, so you will be working alongside a partner teacher sharing ideas and planning.

About this School

At Oakridge, our mission is clear: to enhance the life chances of all our children. We are a vibrant, ambitious school where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to shine.

Our motto, ‘Working together to succeed’, captures the spirit of our community. Staff, families, and pupils work side by side to create an environment where high expectations, kindness, and aspiration go hand in hand.

Visitors regularly comment on the warm, positive atmosphere across the school and the exceptionally high standard of behaviour shown by our children. Their curiosity, respect, and enthusiasm make Oakridge a truly special place to learn and work.

And the wider community is noticing too. In the Buckinghamshire School Awards 2026:

  • Our EYFS team has been shortlisted for Excellence in Early Years

  • Oakridge has been nominated for Inclusive School of the Year

  • Our Headteacher has been nominated for Head of the Year

Great things are happening at Oakridge — and this is just the beginning. If you’re looking to join a school where teamwork, positivity, and ambition drive everything we do, Oakridge is the place to be.

Professional Growth & Support
We’re proud to offer outstanding professional development, including a personal Instructional Coach for every teacher. Our staff thrive on exploring new teaching strategies and deepening their understanding of how children learn. Recently, we were privileged to attend an INSET led by the renowned Doug Lemov (The author of ‘Teach Like a Champion’). The school offers plenty of opportunities for staff to progress. For example, most of our leadership have progressed internally and a number of our support staff have become teachers.

Wellbeing & Workload
We care deeply about staff wellbeing. Please take a look at our wellbeing and workload document to see how we support our team. We offer no marking, three hours of PPA for full-time teachers and no expectation to run a club! Please see our Welbeing, Workload and CPD charter.
