We are looking for a talented and flexible class teacher who is excited by variety, collaboration and professional growth. This post will be based at Ongar Primary but with the expectation to work in another one of our schools in either Ongar or Chelmsford for 2 or 3 days per week.

This unique position offers the chance to work for sustained periods in our schools within a defined local area, providing class-based cover and capacity to support our school leaders. By enabling additional leadership time, this role plays a vital part in strengthening teaching and learning across our Trust.

This post is ideal for a teacher who enjoys building strong relationships quickly, embedding themselves in a school community, and making a real difference wherever they are placed.

Why this role is special:

Working across our well‑supported Trust schools, you will:

  • Gain valuable experience across different school contexts and demographics
  • Work alongside a range of leadership styles and high-quality practitioners
  • Develop adaptability, confidence and a broader understanding of school improvement
  • Be part of a collaborative Trust that values staff wellbeing and professional learning
  • Build skills that strongly support future leadership or specialist pathways

This role offers a rare opportunity to broaden your impact while still enjoying the reward of sustained class teaching and being part of a team.

Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking an inspirational, dynamic and committed class teacher who:

  • Delivers consistently strong classroom practice
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Is flexible, reflective and happy working across more than one setting
  • Is enthusiastic about supporting school leaders and contributing to Trust capacity

The post would be suitable for experienced teachers and would be particularly exciting for someone with aspirations for future leadership.
