Bannerman Road Community Academy is seeking a passionate and committed Class Teacher to join our warm, inclusive school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and nurture pupils in a supportive, values‑driven environment that places children at the heart of everything we do. The role is open to ECTs as well as experienced practitioners, with strong professional development and collaboration across the E-ACT trust.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high quality teaching across the curriculum ensuring good progress for all pupils
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, curiosity and good behaviour
- Assess, record and report on pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and targeted support
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners including SEND and EAL
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers to support learning and well being
Pay range:
- M1 - M6 - £19,749.60 - £27,211.00
- FTE - £32,916.00 - £45,352.00
- 19.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
- Permanent
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Effective classroom management
- Good knowledge of primary teaching strategies
- Ability to assess pupil learning accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
