What skills and experience we're looking for

Anglian Learning is seeking a Class Teacher (Part Time) to join Howard Community Academy.

Howard Community Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Class Teacher on a Part Time basis for an immediate start. You will have excellent English and maths skills, be highly organised and effective in supporting children in their learning and have experience of teaching across all Key Stage levels. This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive staff dedicated to raising standards of achievement and providing quality education. The role would be suited to an Early Careers Teacher or an experienced candidate. We are interested in your application if you:

  • are an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching;
  • have a track record or potential for securing strong academic outcomes;
  • are a collaborative, organised and creative teacher;
  • are keen to contribute to enrichment opportunities.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A Degree and successful Primary teaching experience
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies
  • A good understanding of how children learn
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
  • Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
  • Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
