About the Role:

Class Teacher:

We are seeking a Class Teacher who demonstrates strong, consistently effective classroom practice and a clear commitment to high‑quality teaching and learning. This role is ideally suited to a teacher with a proven track record of delivering strong outcomes in Key Stage 2, underpinned by high expectations and effective pedagogy. You will have the ability to establish a calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment, supported by a thoughtful and proactive approach to classroom management. You will be confident in using a range of positive strategies to promote excellent behaviour for learning and to ensure pupils are engaged, motivated and challenged.

A strong understanding of inclusive teaching is essential. You will be adept at identifying and responding to the diverse needs within your class, including pupils with SEND, and skilled in adapting teaching to ensure every child can access and succeed in learning. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and families to ensure all pupils are fully included, well supported and able to achieve their potential throughout their learning journey.

Phase Leader: (TLR 2a)

We are seeking a highly skilled and effective Phase Leader who is ready to take on a middle leadership role and make a meaningful impact across the phase. The successful candidate will be an experienced practitioner with strong pedagogical expertise and the ability to model consistently high standards of teaching and learning. You will be able to motivate, support and challenge a team of teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development and shared accountability. A clear focus on improving outcomes for all pupils is essential; you will use assessment intelligently, drive improvement through evidence‑informed practice, and ensure that high expectations are embedded for every learner. You will be proactive, reflective and committed to inclusive leadership, working closely with senior leaders to contribute to whole‑school improvement and sustained pupil success.

Key Responsibilities:

Class Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all children in the class
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning
  • Assess and track progress, providing feedback to support their ongoing development
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, inclusion, and positive behaviour management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices for teaching andlearning

Phase Leader:

  • Provide strong leadership of Key Stage 2, setting high expectations for teaching, learning, behaviour and attainment across the phase
  • Lead KS2 assessment and outcomes, with a particular focus on securing strong end‑of‑Key‑Stage outcomes, including statutory KS2 SATs.
  • Support and challenge teachers across the phase, motivating and developing staff through coaching, modelling high‑quality practice and contributing to performance management.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning in KS2, using lesson visits, work scrutiny, pupil progress meetings and pupil voice to ensure consistently high standards.
  • Analyse pupil progress and attainment data across KS2, identifying trends, gaps and priorities -particularly for Year 6 - and lead timely, targeted actions to improve outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate SATs preparation in Year 6, ensuring effective curriculum coverage, high‑quality teaching of reading, writing and mathematics, and appropriate preparation without narrowing the curriculum.
  • Ensure robust provision for vulnerable groups, including pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils, by promoting high‑quality adaptive teaching and effective interventions across KS2.
  • Support curriculum planning and progression within and across KS2, ensuring continuity, challenge and alignment with whole‑school priorities and curriculum intent.
  • Champion positive behaviour and learning attitudes across KS2, ensuring consistent expectations and a calm, purposeful learning environment.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, contributing to whole‑school self‑evaluation, improvement planning and strategic decision‑making.
  • Lead moderation and standardisation activities, particularly in writing, to ensure accurate assessment and consistency across the phase.
  • Engage with parents and carers, particularly around transition points and statutory assessments, to support pupil wellbeing and achievement.
  • Model exemplary professional practice, acting as a role model for staff and pupils and upholding the school’s values and ethos.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience of teaching Y6 would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Delights in being with children and puts their wellness first
  • Has led a core subject across school
  • Has strong behaviour management strategies and a calm, consistent approach to classroom routines
  • Has the ability to make learning fun, engaging, and challenging for all learners
  • Brings fresh ideas and is eager to share and collaborate with colleagues
  • Values every member of the school community and contributes positively to a team culture
  • Is reflective of our values, professional, resilient, and always ready to go the extra mile with enthusiasm!

We Can Offer You:

  • A commitment to people across our partnership, underpinned by our people principles: adaptability, wellness, recognising achievement, employee voice and engagement, professional development and growth, inclusivity, and collaboration.
  • Access to extensive, high-quality CPL at every stage of your career, including opportunities to grow as a leader.
  • The opportunity to progress across the partnership, realising your career ambitions.
  • Access to an employee assistance programme that offers specialist support, including counselling, financial support, and legal advice.
  • A fantastic working environment, with a team that works together for the benefit of the children in our schools.
