The children, staff and governors of Poringland Primary School and Nursery are looking to appoint a teacher to provide excellent teaching and learning practice. You will have a clear understanding of learning and teaching, building on our existing good practice to make learning irresistible, inclusive and effective for the children. This position is open to candidates qualified across EYFS, KS1 or 2 as we have flexibility of placement to suit the successful candidate. Experience and an ability to teach across the full primary age range would be desirable; this position would not suit an ECT at this time.
You will need to:
- be an excellent practitioner who places children at the heart of everything
- have extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience of translating it to meet the developmental needs of children in your class
- have a vision for what outstanding learning and teaching should look like for children, with the capacity and drive to deliver this
- be a professional who inspires children, including them as active learners
- experience of developing children with SEND as well as stretching high achievers
- be determined to make a difference
- be calm, caring and supportive of the inclusive ethos of our Federation
- have high expectations of yourself, standards of achievement, progress and behaviour, together with a can do attitude
- be an effective team member, organised, hardworking and flexible
- have a passion for teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate
- be an excellent role model who maintains the positive ethos and core values of the Federation, both inside and outside the classroom.
We can offer:
- happy, responsive and polite children
- an opportunity to make a difference and shape the future of our school
- good professional development opportunities
- a caring, committed and inclusive ethos
- the opportunity to develop classroom and wider school responsibilities
- a committed friendly, supportive staff team.
