Job Title: Class Teacher - Planning, Preparation and Assessment Cover
Actual Annual Salary: £14,840 based on grade and hours worked
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £37,101 (M3 only due to budget constraints)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part-Time, 13 hours per week 0.4 FTE
Additional role info: Working Pattern - Monday and Tuesday working days. We would consider different working days/split days for a suitable candidate.

We are looking for an effective and inspiring qualified class teacher (M3) to join our outstanding small school in Bristol. Frome Vale Academy is a dynamic, vibrant school in the heart of its local community within Downend, Bristol.

We are looking for a committed individual who wants to make an active contribution to the development of Frome Vale Academy. You will be used to planning and consistently delivering high quality lessons, will have experience in delivering all areas of the curriculum with the ability to embrace change and motivate colleagues and students. About you:
You will be:
- a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent teaching qualification.
- able to deliver the curriculum in your chosen area and consistently teach high quality lessons across relevant key stages.
- able to meet the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and High Attaining students.
- a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change, motivate colleagues and build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
- able to recognise, value and support the delivery of opportunities which extend beyond the confines of classroom delivery and seek to enrich and add value to the students experience & learning.
- empowered to develop your own expert practice and support the development of others
About Frome Vale Academy
We are a single form entry school, with a maximum of 30 children per year group with an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating. The school is set within beautiful grounds of approximately 9 acres, which are used extensively for outside learning and play. At Frome Vale, our children are encouraged and guided to achieve their full potential within a safe and engaging environment.

Frome Vale Academy is a small, vibrant primary Academy set in 9 acres and located in Downend. It is a single form entry school with 178 pupils on roll. Although small, it’s diverse with over 15 different languages spoken within the school community ranging from Arabic to Urdu. Frome Vale Academy benefits from being part of a leading Multi-Academy Trust, the Cabot Learning Federation. The CLF currently sponsors 15 academies: six primary academies, seven mainstream secondary academies, an all-through academy and a Studio School. In addition, the CLF has a discrete Post 16 provision, located across six of our sites in the East Bristol / South Gloucestershire area, and a primary and a secondary re-engagement centre serving the same area. Together we educate 8000 children between the ages of 3 and 19. The Federation is a major Teaching School in the South West. Successful candidates will benefit not only from intensive CPD within our school but also across the Cabot Learning Federation.
