What skills and experience we're looking for

The Hundred of Hoo Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity to appoint a talented and inspirational. This is a truly rare opportunity as our successful Class Teacher will be joining an all-through academy during a period of growth and expansion and will be able to engage in unique, cross-phase curriculum delivery where secondary specialists teach specific lessons to give our pupils the highest quality educational opportunities. If you are seeking career development this is the perfect position as we provide excellent CPD opportunities and promote progression with the academy.

We expanded our academy from one to two-form entry and are excitedly looking for someone to help develop our learning space, outdoor learning space and strengthen our strong team to provide the absolute best learning opportunities for our children.

Our commitment to safeguarding:Leigh Academies Trust and all of our academies are committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We adopt a fair, robust and consistent recruitment process across all academies and business units which is inline with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. This includes online checks for shortlisted candidates - you can read more about this in our Recruitment Guidance. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check.

Our commitment to equality and diversity:As a Trust, we are passionate about diversity and recognise that as individuals, we all bring something unique to the role regardless of any protected characteristics which is why we treat all of our people equally, without compromise. We are committed to providing equality and fairness throughout our recruitment and employment practices and not discriminating on any grounds.

What the school offers its staff

Working at The Hundred of Hoo Primary Academy: Do you want to work in a school where staff say, “I feel like we all have a good connection within the workplace and we all work well together.” and “Connecting with people allows you to share ideas, support each other and makes the workplace happier.”

Do you think parents should be able to say, “The school has done everything well and has excelled our hopes and dreams.” and “I think as a school they give a great warmth to pupils and to parents and carers when on site and in all their communication. The school staff are very kind and helpful at all times. I feel the school as a whole is a nice place to be”.

Should the school you work at be recognised nationally as having an area of excellence for behaviour and inclusion?

If this sounds like the type of school you would aspire to work in then The Hundred of Hoo Academy could be the place for you.

As part of Leigh Academies Trust, you will have ample opportunity to collaborate with your peers both within the academy and across the whole Trust. This is an important part of our vision as we know through experience that we perform better when we work together. You are supported to undertake regular self-development to continue your professional development and hopefully progress further within the organisation.
