Roydon Primary School has a long history dating back to 1876 and is located in the village of Roydon on the Hertfordshire/Essex border. The school caters for children aged 4 to 11 and became a BMAT academy in December 2013.
Today our school consists of the original Victorian School House, a 1970s addition, a new building housing two classrooms and a multipurpose hall. We are fortunate to have fabulous outside facilities including extensive playing fields, an amphitheatre, football 'stadium', a sensory garden and a mini allotment which gives us plenty of learning opportunities outside of the classroom.
On joining the school, our children become an integral part of our school community. As a small school, we look to foster a family atmosphere where all children are taught the importance of consideration and mutual respect. Parents and carers play a vital role in the education of their children and we actively encourage close co-operation between home and school; we value and build on the experience and knowledge pupils bring from their home lives.
Through all we do at Roydon Primary Academy, we look to ensure a solid foundation upon which our children can grow. Our staff team are passionate about giving our children memorable experiences that will equip them for what comes next. We celebrate diversity, embrace differences and prioritise keeping safe and healthy. Through doing this, we know our children will be equipped to positively impact their wider community. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate Teacher who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students. You should have a strong understanding of education and a desire to support the growth of every child. The ideal candidate will be a team player, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a thriving learning environment. Whether you are an experienced educator or looking to take the next step in your career, you will be expected to bring a positive, proactive attitude to your work and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Our school is part of a collaborative and dynamic Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) that fosters an inclusive and ambitious learning community. We are dedicated to providing high-quality education, creating an environment where every individual is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our school culture promotes collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence in everything we do.
