About the Role:

At Sennen Primary School, we are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and creative KS1 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team on a maternity cover basis, starting in January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a nurturing and inclusive environment, where every child is encouraged to enjoy their learning journey.

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach a mixed Year 1 and 2 class, providing a stimulating, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with our curriculum
  • Use effective strategies to support pupils, particularly those with SEND
  • Work closely with colleagues, support staff and parents to promote positive relationships
  • Maintain a caring, safe and respectful classroom ethos

About You:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has QTS and experience teaching in Key Stage 1
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Is confident in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Is reflective and flexible
  • Compassionate and nurturing
  • Values strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
