At St Alban’s we aim to help children develop in their journey of faith in a positive learning environment. We believe that our school will make a valuable contribution to their development. It is a caring environment where children develop their many talents.
We recognise the importance of educating the ‘whole’ child. Academic excellence and acquiring a depth of knowledge for all children is one of our goals but we also try to nurture those special gifts which makes each child unique.
At the start of this academic year we became part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust.
We join together with 19 other primary schools and 5 secondary schools in the Diocese of Nottingham located in Derbyshire, Derby City, Staffordshire and Stockport into a single Catholic Multi Academy Trust to form,
‘A Catholic family of schools providing service and witness to children, their families and the communities they serve. Stronger together, united in faith and working as one to enrich the learning experience of all our young people so that they fulfill their God-given potential’.
Home/School/Parish links are vital. We value the contribution to school life that parents make and the support offered by Father David and the parish of St Alban’s Catholic Church. Together, we ensure that St Alban’s Catholic Primary School remains a very special place.
