Class Teacher - suitable for ECT job summary

We are looking to recruit a full time, permanent class teacher from September 2022. We are looking for an ambitious, motivated and driven teacher who can inspire our pupils to learn.

This is an exciting time to join Coppice Primary- a school which believes in excellence for both its children and staff. Our pupils are well behaved and have a very positive attitude to learning. Our families are supportive and have high aspirations for their children. We work collaboratively across the Learning Trust for Excellence to provide high quality CPD and opportunities to develop. All ECTs will be registered with the new education hubs and will start their career entry development plan.

Coppice Primary School is a two form entry school in the Four Oaks area of Sutton Coldfield in Birmingham. The school has 422 children in classes from Reception to Year 6.

In September 2008 we had the privilege of moving into our new, purpose built premises that we share with Langley Special School and Little Rainbows Nursery. Coppice and Langley are two separate schools that work together to improve the opportunities for all the children on the site.

We really are situated in a Coppice, with the playgrounds bordered by wooded trees that the children enjoy learning in as part of the learning environment.

The move into the new premises was followed by the development of the outside area to include an all weather playground/sports pitch, forest school, climbing and play equipment and an outdoor 'classroom' especially for our Reception children. This continues to be developed.
