Parkside has high but different expectations for each of its pupils. Parkside understands that pupils different needs require different provision and in turn this leads to different outcomes for each of our young people. Pupils at Parkside have a highly personalised route to support them becoming a confident and active citizen. Parkside does this through teaching independence, communication and self-regulation.

A teacher is required in our 7-18 age special school for pupils with complex learning needs. The school currently has 189 pupils on roll.

We are looking for teachers with a clear understanding, or deep interest in working with pupils with a range of complex needs including SEMH needs.

The successful candidates will need a Primary skill set ideally, but be able to relate to older pupils or will be willing to learn phonics and early maths pedagogy.

A calm, child centred, patient disposition is essential as is a sense of humour and a passion for supporting vulnerable learners.

We have a happy and caring family ethos, where everyone is respected, and staff and students have high expectations of themselves and others.
