What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our friendly and supportive team at Tower Hill for one term to cover maternity leave most likely in our Lower Key Stage 2. We would like someone who is excited about teaching a creative and engaging curriculum, and who has experience in making learning meaningful and enjoyable for everyone. There is a possibility it could lead to a longer employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across a variety of subjects, ensuring a rich and balanced curriculum.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Develop positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed and involved in their child's progress.
  • Support the well-being of children and promote a growth mindset.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Is passionate about delivering an exciting and diverse curriculum, with a focus on hands-on and real-world learning.
  • Is skilled at developing good relationships with pupils, making learning accessible and fun.
  • Can effectively communicate with parents and work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
