Qualifications

Experience

  • Excellent and outstanding classroom practioner who demonstrates enthusiasm, innovation and creativity in their teaching.
  • Recent, relevant, successful experience of teaching in KS1/EYFS

A clear understanding of the teaching of phonics and recent, relevant training.

Knowledge and skills

  • Clear philosophy of education
  • Good knowledge of the curriculum
  • Excellent subject knowledge - particularly of the core subjects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent classroom management and the ability to secure high levels of pupil behaviour
  • Understanding of how to monitor pupil progress and tailor learning accordingly using assessment information.
  • The ability to implement innovative strategies for learning to ensure that the needs of all learners are met
  • To be able to recognise and demonstrate the necessary skills and strategies for the teaching of early mathematics

To be able to demonstrate outstanding practice in the teaching of early reading and writing.

Town Lane Infant School is a large infant school in Higher Bebington. We are a three-form intake infant school and currently have 326 pupils on roll, including very popular nursery provision.

We are part of Concordia Multi Academy Trust who are a registered Charitable Company consisting of nine Schools in the local area.

Town Lane Infant School is a large Infant School situated in Bebington, Wirral. We have excellent provision for nursery aged children starting from 2 years old and we offer 15 and 30 hour places for 3 year olds. We are a 3-form entry school and have strong transition links with our feeder Junior School.

At Town Lane Infant School, we aim to create a happy, caring and respectful ethos in which every child is valued and given the opportunity to reach excellence in every aspect of school life.
