We are looking to appoint a full time class teacher to join our school from September 2024.
The successful candidate will:
- Be confident to work with junior age children.
- Be an enthusiastic committed practitioner with high expectations of our children and of themselves
- Be passionate about teaching and the promotion of a love of learning in children
- Have a good understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum expectations
- Be hardworking, a team player and have a sense of humour
- Be able to follow professional advice and implement appropriate strategies to support learning
- Be able to work on their own initiative and able to manage and organise their time effectively
- Be able to confidently communicate clearly with parents, carers and colleagues
- Show commitment to the safeguarding of children

Wheatfields is a successful three form entry Junior School, with a clear and ambitious vision for continuous improvement. Our children are delightful, enthusiastic learners who are a pleasure to teach and our parents and carers are highly supportive of the school. The school became part of the Alban Academies Trust in September 2020 and is at an exciting stage of developing strong partnership working across the schools.
