Class Teacher job summary

Wickersley Northfield Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and committed Y4 teacher to join our friendly and dedicated team.

At Wickersley Northfield, we want every child to feel that they belong, enjoy learning and have the opportunity to achieve their very best. We are looking for a teacher who shares our high expectations for children and understands the difference that excellent teaching, strong relationships and consistent classroom practice can make.

The successful candidate will put children and the quality of their everyday classroom experience at the heart of their work. They will create a positive and inclusive learning environment, know their pupils well and adapt their teaching effectively so that all children can participate, learn and succeed.

We are looking for someone who is reflective, enthusiastic and ambitious for every child; who values collaboration and enjoys being part of a team; and who is committed to continually developing their practice. Above all, they will build warm, respectful relationships with children and help them develop the confidence, curiosity and independence they need to thrive.

Wickersley Northfield is proud to be part of White Woods Primary Academy Trust: a family of primary schools across Rotherham, united by a shared commitment to improving children’s lives. The Trust’s work is guided by its four core values—the 4Cs: Child-centred, Collaborative, Curious and Challenging.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive school and Trust where professional learning, collaboration and high-quality classroom practice are valued, and where we remain focused on what matters most—providing an excellent education for every child.
