Class teacher with subject lead job summary

Offord Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly effective and reflective class teacher to teach in our mixed Year 3/4 class. The successful candidate will be required to lead maths in addition to other foundation subjects.

Candidates should be highly motivated with a desire to continually develop their own teaching, leadership and management skills to ensure that all pupils succeed in our caring and supportive environment.

Our school is situated between the towns of St Neots and Huntingdon, with good access to Cambridge, Bedford, Peterborough and the surrounding areas. We are a small primary school with the capacity for 119 pupils sitting within a thriving local community.

Our classrooms are well resourced enabling exciting, purposeful education to take place.

We require a teacher who:

Is an experienced, outstanding classroom practitioner

Has experience of leading subject areas effectively

Will be responsible for leading Maths, driving forward change

Has an excellent knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum objectives and expectations

Has an excellent understanding of KS2 Phonics

Has an excellent understanding of KS2 Teacher Assessment

Works effectively as part of a Key Stage and whole school team

Can contribute to the wider school community events
