Class Teacher with TLR responsibility - Literacy and Communication job summary
Due to expansion, Kingsbury Academy are looking to appoint a class teacher with a TLR responsibility for English and Communication.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate as they will have a key strategic role within the development of our school. You will have substantial experience of working with children with complex and significant learning needs. You will know the importance of providing our pupils with creative and inspiring opportunities to develop the skills they need for life.
The successful candidate will hold QTS and will have a proven record of outstanding teaching, and behaviour management. You will need to be resilient and passionate about education and understand that excellent teaching plays a pivotal role in positively impacting pupils’ life chances.
You will have a broad experience in planning, delivery and classroom management with a dedication to ensuring the best outcomes for individuals. You will need to share our commitment to ensuring that all students are fully prepared and supported for life beyond school.
We have a strong safeguarding culture and expect applicants to be committed to the safeguarding of children and eager to continually develop their practice in this area. All applicants will go through a safer recruitment process. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is required prior to commencement of this post.

Kingsbury Academy is a Special School based in Coventry (approximately 92 pupils on roll); the majority of our children have a diagnosis of Autism, while many other children have additional needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties.
